Paul Parker and All the Right Friends...about us!
Paul Parker is the frontman, singer and lead guitarist for 'All the Right Friends' as well as a solo artist and composer in his own right. With over 20 years of writing and playing experience, Paul was the founder of the 'House of Alice' a popular Shropshire band for over a decade. 'All the Right Friends' grew out of Paul's solo gigs where he would often have friends join in.
The band go out as a full electric 5 piece creating the sound style of easy listening melodic rock with a strong American influence and hints of blues and country. 'All the Right Friends' current set contains songs by artists such as Counting Crows, Crowded House, David Gray, REM, Bruce Springsteen, The Jayhawks, Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow and The Who to name but a few, with the basic philosophy of anything with a good tune that you can imagine singing and playing a hundred times a year. As well as covers, the band are proud to play a large range of original songs written and composed by Paul over the years. See the music section of the website for examples.
They also go out as an acoustic duo comprising of Paul on vocals and guitar and Adelle on vocals, harmonica and percussion. Imagine intricate vocal harmonies, along with a skilfully played acoustic guitar, mandolin, some laid back percussion and even the odd harmonica solo and you will get the general idea. Covers include Neil Young, Counting Crows, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Amy Macdonald, David Gray and The Grateful Dead.
If you should be in the audience at any point in the future, requests are taken seriously when written clearly on a £5 note! Alternatively, a round of drinks (for all band members, of course) can be quite persuasive. So watch this space for details, join in and become a 'friend', and we'll see you somewhere down the yellow brick road.
